the sequences are short and fun
I like looking at different ways of running the same sequence: when the dog's path is the same and handling changes or even when the dog's path changes. I think this is a very important skill for trialing. The sequences are short and fun; you can try multiple ways to do it. The feedback is clear and kind. I always feel energized when I get my feedback.

I'm a very visual learner . . .
I'm a very visual learner. The the 3 instructors used the chalkboard to show the dog path, and handler options. I found this approach the best way for me to learn and get the most out of these exercises.
The laser focus of each course is ideal to watch and dissect. The format is user friendly and invites the user to start going over the material the moment it's released each week. The experts are truly great in their analysis and instruction.

Esteban will also demonstrate various exercises and explain key execution points with voiceover video and diagrams and provide course map analysis.
Course Format
This course will help you and your dog excel by evaluating the current agility trends and creating small space sequences to prepare you for what you might encounter in the ring. Every week, you will be provided with a set of TWO practice sequences designed to prepare you for the challenges you are likely to face from the following judges:
- Todd Buchla
- Michael Case
- Zach Davis
- Mark Giles
- Inga Hooper
- Susan Leitner
These exercises are based on trends from the judges who will be judging the 2024 AKC National Agility Championship. These judges have been chosen by the AKC for this national level event and therefore provide a relevant sample of the current trends in the sport.
Course Map Analysis
Jennifer and Esteban will walk you through the course maps for all 5 rounds from the 2024 AKC National Agility Championship. Understanding how judges design courses will help you quickly identify traps so that nothing will surprise you.
Small Space Exercises
Through video demonstrations and course analyses with voiceover and diagrams, we will advise you to handle the sequence in a variety of ways so you can decide which works best for you and your dog.
Nested Challenge Sequences
Expand your skills with an 8-10 obstacle challenge sequence using the same layout. The challenge sequences have been designed to help you prepare for more difficult challenges.
Personal Video Review
This feature is optional, and includes personalized feedback from Sarah and Esteban Fernandezlopez and Jennifer Crank. Learn from their experience, and bring an outsider’s eye into your training so that they can help you identify areas for improvement.
Judge Scouting Report (NEW!)
We've looked through hundreds of courses to come up with the exercises presented in the course. But sometimes we will notice a trend with a judge that doesn't fit into our small space format. This year, we are adding a scouting report for each judge so that we can share ALL the trends we see for that particular judge.
BONUS: Mental Preparation
Your mental preparation plays as much a part in your success as your handling and execution. Esteban will share the tips that have brought him success at the highest levels.

this was so enlightening . . .
very beneficial to track (or map) the differences when running courses in various ways–this was so enlightening because often I was wrong in which way I would have chosen–always good to look at several ways and now I do.

Overall, one of the best online classes that I have taken.
I loved the course. The course layout was extremely clear; it was easy to go right to the material I wanted to view and review. The course offered good course analysis and some helpful small sequences to practice one’s handling/timing. Overall, one of the best online classes that I have taken.

the short sequence approach was highly beneficial . . .
I thought the short sequence approach was highly beneficial in making rapid progress with my pre novice (13 mo) dog by focusing on just a very few critical points. It enabled both us to stay connected and keep the flow. Penny made awesome handling progress in just a few short sessions over a 4 week period.
