Every year, more and more competitors are taking our prep courses, getting personalized feedback on their practices, and making their way into the Finals of national level events like the American Kennel Club (AKC) Invitational.
In this prep course, we share with you our exact approach to trial preparation in an easy-to-understand way that won't leave you feeling overwhelmed or confused.
Keep in mind that not everyone who takes this course actually attends the AKC Invitational. For those handlers, past Invitational events are the source of the sequences they run in training, and everything they learn helps them run better at their weekend trials.
Understanding the basics of course design and common traps will give you a competitive edge at your next trial.
Discover what works best for you and your dog by running sequences several different ways. Includes demonstrations and analysis.
Expand your skills with a nested challenge sequence that will help you over prepare for the event.
Optional, and the most powerful tool that you can use for self-improvement. Send us your sequences and we will help you run them better.
This year, Jennifer Crank joins Sarah and Esteban Fernandezlopez as an instructor for the 2017 AKC Agility Invitational Prep Course. Like Sarah and Esteban, Jennifer has also competed at the AKC Invitational. Over the last 18 months, Jennifer has also finished second in the finals at Westminster, third in the finals of the AKC National Agility Championship, second in the finals of USDAA’s Cynosport Grand Prix Championship, won USDAA’s Cynosport Steeplechase Championship and competed at both the FCI European Open and FCI Agility World Championship.
This is your chance to train with Sarah, Esteban and Jennifer. Registration closes and the course begins November 6th. You will have LIFETIME ACCESS to the material.
I learned a lot from the insightful analysis of the courses and exercises. Then it was fun to set up the sequences and try them with my dog! I feel ready for the invitational.

I enjoyed the course. I am not in the States but used it as training for competitions here in New Zealand.
JO C. // 2016 AKC Agility Invitational Prep Course Student
This course will help you and your dog excel in Orlando by breaking down the actual courses from last year’s Agility Invitational and creating practice exercises based on challenging sequences from those courses. Every 5 days, beginning November 6th, we will release a round from the event.
Course Map Analysis
A previous Invitational finalist himself, Esteban will walk you through the course maps in the Coach’s Eye for all 4 rounds plus the Finals from last year’s event. Understanding how judges design courses will help you quickly identify traps so that nothing will surprise you.
Small Space Exercises
Through video demonstrations and course analyses with the Coach’s Eye, we will advise you to handle the sequence in a variety of ways so you can decide which works best for you and your dog.
Nested Challenge Sequences
Expand your skills with an 8-10 obstacle challenge sequence using the same layout. The challenge sequences have been designed to help you prepare for more difficult challenges you might see at the event.
Personal Video Review
This feature is optional, and includes personalized feedback from Jennifer, Sarah, and Esteban. Learn from their experience, and bring an outsider’s eye into your training so that they can help you identify areas for improvement.
BONUS: Mental Preparation
Your mental preparation plays as much a part in your success as your handling and execution. Esteban and Jennifer will share the tips that have brought them success at the highest levels.
The feedback and instruction are awesome. The videos and course maps are very professional and easy to view. This is an awesome course that I highly recommend!

I wanted to let you know that I think this course really helped me prepare and be successful at the AKC Agility Invitational. This was my first time being invited to the invitational. The exercises, videos, and course analysis really helped us practice and helped me be a lot better at analyzing courses and planning what I’d do on course. I really liked that the exercises were easy to set up.
My goals in going to the invitational were basically to have fun, keep him happy, and to do the very best that I could. We exceeded those goals by miles! Astro and I ran clean in all four rounds and made finals! Thank you so much!
