Sarah: Just a quick question when getting feedback on the Website versus other methods. Right now, I know to check a notification box to notify me when someone comments on my post or any post in that section. For instance I started some dialogue on start lines in “Lessons with Lux” in the very first video. I got some great feedback already, but now I have to remember to navigate all the way to that particular lesson if I want to post an update with my progress or rewatch the feedback. The only way I could think of was to bookmark that particular location. Is there a search method where I can pull up my past comments?
I’ve added this to your profile:
It will show your most recent 100 comments.
Wow… Thanks Heaps!
This might be silly but why don’t I have a pic with my comment, I DO have the pic showing in my profile as SandyBoyko, but it does not show up when I comment????
That’s a good question! I would expect it to show. Maybe it updates once a day or something. I’ll look into it!
I’ve messaged support for the comments application that I use to see if I can fix this. The short answer is that by default, it uses Gravatar for images. This is kindof a global profile picture service where you set a profile picture in one place and it’s used all over the web (by anyone who supports it – which is a lot of sites). It’s very common in technical circles, but I knew agility few agility people would be familiar with it, so I added the ability to upload your own profile picture directly here. I’m looking into getting the comments to honor that profile picture!
Ahhhh, makes sense, no biggie. I just saw that a few other VIP members had a pic too (other than yours) and was just curious! It’s not like you have nothing better to do!
It looks like this is not easily done 🙁
You can set up your profile picture on Gravatar:
Still no sound?
Choice point because of reference to : “Technology for Agility” Should I go there now or later…. which is the “flow” you expect us to follow?
I would go ahead and finish the orientation and then start the technology for agility course from the beginning.
I am also going to add a lesson to the end of this orientation that prompts people to go to the Technology course next.
I am testing this out
Hear you loud and clear!
Hi Sarah – I just want to say that I really appreciate the very clean interface you have here. Years ago I was an early-adopter of online teaching (college level Literature and Composition, not dog agility!), and I know how much effort goes into creating, maintaining, and improving an online presence that really works for students, particularly now when there are so many bells & whistles available. A simple user-friendly interface is so very complicated to create. Thanks!
❤️ Thank you so much Mary! I really appreciate the compliment!
