In the past, prep course exercises were based on the previous year's event.  For example, exercises for the 2019 AKC Nationals Prep Course were taken from the courses from the 2018 AKC Nationals event. This has the benefit of highlighting challenges that appear at a National level competition.

Recently, we have created exercises based on the judges for the upcoming event.  For example, exercises for the 2020 AKC Nationals Prep Course were created based on maps from the judges assigned to the 2020 AKC Nationals. These trends are based on "regular weekend trial" maps from these judges, however, it does have the benefit of reviewing sequences from the judges that participants will show under at the upcoming event.
