A bit late on this one given all that has been going on. Set and ran this exercise on Friday, then came in to read the email that NAC was canceled. 🙁 Oh well, figured I’d still submit it.

Absolutely submit it! Although there was very little to say, I mostly pointed out all the details of how well you ran it!

TY Sarah!
Here is my work on this set. These were pretty challenging with K, especially, wide turns, extra tunnel, etc. Thank you for any feedback! Heather

This was fun! Parks and her tunnels, but I learned a lot about my body and handling on this one. For Parks I showed our first run of the set and our best run of the set. I just did the FC and inside wrap. I also ran “Baby” Ryker on this one; he jumps 24 and has a nice startline, so I seem to do a better job with him.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exlnN6Ipt1w Definitely could have done something more to tighten the turn from 3 to 4 when I did it with the front cross. I think if I saw this in a trial I would go for that option so as to put my body in the space of the off course tunnel, although I think the serpentine with blind was my favorite handling option.

Thank you, Sarah! I love getting to see the SBS of the wrap versus slice.

Here is our go at Module 8! I also tried a swing into the tunnel. Tried a few different ways to get a tighter line from #3 to #4, but never got it very tight.

Thanks for the feedback Sarah! Were you going to post a SBS?
Yes! It looks like I already did it and didn’t get it uploaded: https://youtu.be/2OlA5Ng2Yt0
This is my very young dog with the exercises.

Interestingly, Jazzie was fastest with the wrap. This dog was fastest with the FX between 3-4, but she has not learned to be efficient with wraps.
Jazzie (My red dog) placed 5th in 20” finals last year.

This is the dog I’m taking to Nationals. I don’t seem to do decel very well. I just seem to naturally get wide turns. I’m not a very fast runner and so I don’t have the dramatic change of speed that you do.

That front cross really needs work for me… I had a hard time trying to move but not and watch him at the same time… 🤦♀️

Gotta plant!!! I’m so bad about stopping!! 🤦♀️
Here is our exercise 6. I didn’t get a great turn at 3 because I was trying to treat the exercise as if we were in flow so I greatly limited my lead out which kept me from getting up there to control it. Forgot the last jump in the challenge because I was so worried that he may not have taken 9. I didn’t rerun it… was super fun! Thanks!

Because of the field size, the place of 1st bar was a little bit different.
Nao is not good at right turn. So this is the very nice training for us.
I practiced # 3-# 4 partially many times. And I practiced 3 times each of exercises. Comparing each runs, all 1st tries were the fastest, but he listened my cues well only on 3rd tries.
At the end of the session, I removed the bar. Then he listened my cues well. I’ll practice it with raising the height of the bar gradually to let him turn tight for right turn.
EX1 FC fastest

Thank you for your detailed analysis.
I compared 1st run and 3rd run. As you said, the reason why 3rd run was slower than 1st might be fatigue. He is so big that his wider run is sometimes faster than tighter run.
I think the response of 3rd run was better, so I’ll keep on practicing.
1st run FC(fastest) > wrap > serpentine
3rd run FC(fastest) > serpentine> wrap
Nao turns tight for wrap, but if he could run serpentine tightly, it might be faster.
Yeah – you can actually see a difference in time between the first 2 jumps between the 1st and 3rd attempt. And since that’s 2 jumps in a line with no handling, that a strong indicator that it’s fatigue.
Flash exercise set 6. The inside wrap was the slowest. The serp blind a touch faster than the front because I got a tighter turn to 4. Front cross didn’t seem late, but my motion seemed to push Flash wide. I timed using Coach’s Eye.
