Exercise – what if you notice your dog taking of with the wrong foot? What do you change?
I assume you mean the dog is not prepared for the turn? I would be looking at the timing of the handling. Our dog should always not the direction they are heading before they take off for jump, the jumping effort and mechanics are completely different when the dog is preparing to turn right versus left versus going straight versus wrap.
If they are taking off with the wrong foot then they likely don’t realize what’s coming up next and that is usually a matter of our handling cues being unclear.
