Do you have a little video showing what you did on 14-16? I’m having some trouble visualizing how you handled this. Thanks!

I so appreciate your analysis Jennifer! And will apologize in advance if you mentioned this in another video, but I’m curious if you first walk through the course from your dog’s perspective?
Like you, I draw the path on the map so I get a feel for the flow. Then during the walk through, I first walk it from Sky’s perspective (in this case, the weaves would be a huge invite for him), walking through the jumps, hopefully, with bars down. Then I walk it as I would handle it, and subsequent walks may have some changes to handling, but most of all, I envision Sky running the course as I continue to walk it (& whisper verbals). Thanks!
YES! I absolute advise doing this! For me, I don’t use/look at maps much generally my way goes like:
1) walk to find the obstacles; just walking for flow, not handling.
2) walk my dogs path; what is their ideal line? Where do I want them over the bar? What do THEY see?
3) the last step is determining what handling I want to do to achieve that ideal path for the dog.
4) walk back-up plans; what if I don’t make the blind? What if I see lots of dogs are struggling with that plan?
5) once the walk is over, I step to the side and visualize. I do think several times between when I walk and when I run.
I think you have a great plan for your walk thrus!!
