I’m coming late to these in catchup mode and am doing them out of order, so IDK if you introduced this guest handler dog team, but I wanted to thank them for doing the demos!!!

    • Sarah Fernandezlopez says:

Hi Collene! I’m not sure if I formally did! This is Brittany Schaezler and her sheltie VV. At the time I was recovering from a spleen injury and was not allowed ANY activity!

      • Collene says:

OH – is that the same person that used to run Trek and Amp in your old full long course demos? Back in the day lol.

Wow spleen injury sounds intense! Glad you have recovered!

  • Karin & Sky says:

Since we had a dry day (yet the part of shaded area of the yard was frozen) and with more rain predicted for Thursday, I decided to go for the SS#4 in the Invitational Prep module.
Thank you for the first video tip since that helped me eliminate those obstacles! Yet, I still did have equipment along the edges so I could’ve incorporated them too – I only did it once at the end.

Exercise 1 – felt awkward for me to do a BC because it’s kind of tight (& as you know, I do a lot of RCs😁), and it wasn’t pretty, but amazingly, Sky switched sides! And shoot, I called his name when I didn’t need to – need to trust him!
Exercise 2 – felt more comfortable with RCs. Also called his name when not needed.
Exercise 3 – like the BC, the FC felt a bit tight in the space. But good for me to practice!
Exercise 2 again but added the tunnel at the end.

Thanks again for all of your support, feedback and advice! I have learned so much, and my only regret is that I didn’t sign up earlier!

Here’s Indy’s attempt. I was totally in his way on the FC. He was running by jump 2 so I was supporting it more.

Was able to set up the entire sequence. Not sure whether I managed to do option 1 totally correctly. I felt with options 1 and 3 I was in Truman’s way on 5-6-7 and he was a very good boy not to run into me or take down #6. My preferred option was definitely #2. With the challenge sequence I liked option 2 better than 1 as it took the tunnel out of Truman’s path better and I thought I got a better line to the last jump. As you had commented on Truman’s “serping” skills in the previous lesson, I wanted to show you what I think is his most impressive ability…to serp while I stand at the end of the line of jumps. I had occasion to use this skill last weekend in the opening serp line of a Premier JWW course.

All my attempts. I feel uncomfortable doing the reverse spin as I don’t do them often but tried.
Also tried handling the the challenge a different way ( how I would normally handle – on the tunnel side of 6-7-8-9)

  • Dennis Kirkpatrick says:

This went pretty smooth for Kian and me. I would normally do a spin at number 7 to tighten up that turn. This was good to do it without that.
