Here’s a video of Sky & my tries (not the Challenge).
https://youtu.be/pj3yGiV-5XY?si=6ED5hWm3BXamEpFD
I had a feeling that doing it at a distance would work best for us, even in my small yard, but it was good to practice the FC & BC. But I had to change the angle of the jump to avoid him taking 3 as a backside.
What’s funny, I didn’t realize I was doing a RC between 5 & 6 until the last try when I was doing the distance/RC one and I finally did a FC! Perhaps I felt I was in a better position to accomplish that…
Even though we aren’t participating (not invited) in the Invitational, I appreciated the entire course because it gave us more opportunities to practice and learn.
Thank you!
(Sorry for the variety of background noises – gun range is several miles away but east wind carried the sound, and the FedEx plane flying overhead.)
Great job on these! Your FC/BC were the fastest.

Wow! Thanks so much Esteban for the side by side comparisons! I always thought RCs would be faster since I’d be out of his way, but you proved me wrong. Thanks for opening my eyes to that!
Hope you’re feeling better.
I’m doing great now, back to normal! I love these kinds of exercises because they give us an honest assessment and comparison for different ways of getting through the same sequence. I’m glad you liked it.
Hi Esteban,
This is Kylo’s video—we had a great time trying these. I tried to get them all in, he was a little bit tired towards the challenge exercises but would love your feedback! Thank you 😄

Beautiful work! Feedback here: https://link.getonform.com/view?id=ZPH4FzwAhHoSeeulwZ9n
Hope you are feeling better and were able to enjoy those T-day pies!
Thank you! While I wasn’t able to eat as much pie as usual this year, I did get my fill on Thanksgiving Day! I am slowly recovering.
Interesting sequences. Of the small space options I liked the serp handling the best. Challenging challenge!
The serp worked very well for you! Everything was pretty much the same, and perfectly executed.

Here’s Indy’s attempt as he hopes to compete at the Invitational in the future!

Great work! I put them in two separate videos.

Indy’s link is saying it’s still uploading. I think it’s stuck.
It did not upload properly–go ahead and try again now.
TY!
I think we did well on the initial sequence options. The first challenge option Kian took the wrong end of the tunnel. Maybe it was just patterning or maybe not. You’ll let me know. It was a tough tunnel entrance for a big boy like him.

Great work on this! I think you can use decel in that spot to help start that threadle.

Thank you! In the challenge it makes total sense that I should stop until he turns to me. When you said I handled it like I would a pinwheel it clicked that I shouldn’t have moved.
Give it a try in practice/trials and let me know how it goes!
Hi Esteban,
Here are Zest’s and Blast’s videos. The challenge is included in their videos. There were a few times I felt I was late or out of place for some of the crosses. I redid some with Blast but didn’t with Zest as he’s 11.5 and I don’t want to over do it with him.
I really enjoyed these exercises. Zest will be running 20” preferred at the invitational. Blast is taking this course as prep since they both will be running at the NAC in March.

Good luck in Florida!! I put these in two separate videos.

Thank you Esteban. I can’t believe we leave next week.
I just love these comparisons. They are so helpful and insightful.
I’m glad you found it helpful–good luck again and safe travels!! Have a great time!
