So interesting that you would handle 1-2-3 on the inside with decel when you want to control the tightness from 2 to 3. To me, that need for control screams for a lead-out to the wing of #2 with a lead-out push over to #3. I guess because I can “force the turn” as opposed to depending on the decel to cover it.
Otherwise, I was pretty much following your suggestions. Interesting that you think the JWW course is the hardest; I flubbed the standard course but was easily clean on this one.
It is great fun to see these analyses on courses I have already run!!

I think if you have the lead-out push in your skill set, that’s an excellent solution to the opening.
I think in general the JWW round will be the most technical of the 3 preliminary courses in any given year, but I don’t think that this specific JWW course was the “hardest” for this specific year, or hardest among JWW courses over the past 5 years.
