    What do you use for the platform?

      I covered an old TV tray with a yoga mat but anything of the correct size and traction can work. The cot I had planned to start with was a little high for him at first.

    My puppy learned this fast. What other fun things can we do on the platform? (or are there more advance exercises in futures lessons?)

      Awesome! I use it to help proof stays (like training other dogs, running away then recalling to play, me walking a course, playing the it’s your choice game, etc), you can use it for body awareness exercises like backing up, push ups and side steps, you can use it for verbal discrimination (the platform cue vs kennel or bed or down, etc). Have fun!

    When and how does platform work help with 2 on 2 off training?

      It is all about concept training with puppies. Body awareness and stay on the thing until released. Later it will be stay in a 4 on or 2O/2O position on a plank or table. It is also practicing start line and waiting your turn behaviors.

    What do you use this exercise for to build on? Is it more for stays or for actual table work – thanks!

      At first it is just something to start shaping behaviors and build body awareness with. But then I can use it for concepts like stays and tables.
