    Sarah,

    I am intrigued by the exercise involving running towards a wall and teaching the pup to apply the brakes. Will this translate into the dog knowing how to collect?

      Exactly! It will help with stopped contacts and collecting for jumps and weave poles. I add my collection cue (checkcheck) as soon as my puppy is stopping correctly (his back stays in a straight line with his front, no popping up or sideways and he stops on his own accord without running into anything).
