I liked that you showed handling the two dog walk options. Interesting the different results you got going to the weaves.
I don’t think the DW handling effected the weave entry but it is hard to know for sure. The RC certainly shows motion AWAY from the tunnel as opposed to the push at the jump which requires an extra step towards the weaves. Luckily the RC would have been my first choice.
same question: did the dog take the off course tunnel because you had too much forward motion there? wow at your handling of this challenging course.
See below.
Can you explain what happened when the dog went off to the tunnel instead of the weave poles. I can’t figure out what happened. The cue seemed to be so clear.
Failure in my verbal tunnel/weave discrimination. The body cues we’re okay but the verbal cues aren’t strong enough for that level of discrimination. I guess I know what I can work on in the next few months 🙂
Love this , plus it is the course we ran last week so I now have a much better layout of the course to go with all of my notes !! Thanks so much
I decided to post this course map and video for exactly that reason; it was the building layout from last week. Most classes did not run the actual course but now they can see the inspiration behind the setup.
Thanks for this. I also use a lot of verbal cues but my timing is often late so it was helpful to hear you cues so clearly and to note when they happen – I’ll get there!
