Here is my baby dog doing the handling choice that I would normally pick given this sequence. https://youtu.be/4WGfNsa_oyE

Nice set of sequences to try different skills. Thanks! Option 3 in the small space set felt the best to me with both my dogs. I also tried it out with Dazzle in a way that best suits my normal handling style…the one I likely would revert to under pressure. I agree it’s good to try new ways if only to find where your limits lie as a team but I’m still struggling with having to think about what my feet need to be doing which slows me down a lot. The bad part of getting old (LOL)!
The challenge sequence went fine with both dogs except going from 10 to 11. I found that with both dogs I had to decel and call them strongly to stop their tendency to go to the backside of 11. I was pleased with Truman’s improving jumping skills at 24″. He’s clearly thinking about what he needs to do with his body to turn tighter. I also experimented a bit with how far from the first jump to leave him. No funny takeoffs too close to the jump this time!
