I can’t really tug with my Doberman so I do use food and it works well. I try increasing the value but it is hard for me to see any difference. Should I be able to tell that he like something better than something else? He seems to like all foods. thanks!!
For my food dogs, a “jackpot” means more food, more play/chase rewarded with food BEFORE I do the sequence again, or put them away, etc. A regular reward might be one or two treats. Have you seen the video where I use food rewards with a dog? https://youtu.be/G2Of4u3AOMk

The video using food rewards is just what I needed. I was spending the first few minutes calling my dog off distractions to get her to work. Can you point me to the next video training where I can build longer focus for food reward? She is not interested in tug of retrieve.
