He did an amazing job, but it looks like he had time for a blind at the bottom of the frame and then a rear. Would that have been faster?
I doubt it would have been faster, but it’s a good alternative. I think in those days, people didn’t blind cross after contact obstacles.
I may have mask-on-the-brain, but it looks like the woman ring steward ahead of the A-Frame is wearing a mask, and this is a VERY OLD video!
It does look like it! I scrolled through a bit though and I think that’s because of the poor video quality–I don’t think she’s actually wearing a mask.
These videos of Marcus Topps and Juice are amazing. Where is he today? What an amazing athlete and dog handler!!
He retired from agility after Juice.
Fascinating to see how much agility has changed (no/few blinds) but I love watching Marcus. He has a very unique style – very direct communication with Juice, even in his rear crosses.
It’s a real trip into agility history!
