Ahh – I see I had the same question that Jennifer had…
I was just checking the training website to see how long I should wait for a response & if I should notify you another way.
I hope to hear from you soon.

  • Jennifer Chiodo says:

Hi, wondering about what king of response time we should expect when submitting video. Thanks, Jen

    • Esteban Fernandezlopez says:

Generally 2-3 days, but there will be backlogs for big events that we are at in person, holidays, and certain times of year like the start of the new year (now) where it can stretch to a 5-7 days. I checked the queue and your video is the very next one for today. 🙂

      • Jennifer Chiodo says:

Estaban, thanks so much for the feedback. You provided several super-helpful insights. Luna has a tendency to stick on her start line which was why I did the running start. It’s actually rare to have her get ahead of me. It’s a good problem to have and I appreciate your strategy suggestions there.

Luna has zero drive for her dinner. I can video her, but it looks like slowly wandering towards it then waiting near her bowl. She’s never had intentional negative reinforcement for her dinner, but I think that some members of the family, have, in the past, put food from the grill that was too hot in her bowl…. I now manually check the food temp in the bowls before I put them out.
I’ll try to create a higher drive reward, my husband eating a sandwich is probably it; for weave pole training. I don’t have channel weaves at home. Can I set it up using my two six pole weaves side by side? Is there a video or podcast on that?

“Good” is not a reward marker for me, it’s an ‘I like what you are doing and keep going’ marker. However, I like your idea of dropping it and just using ‘go’ for the weaves, I’ll transition to that. I didn’t realize I added ‘girl’ at the trial.

I also appreciate the ignore and wait suggestion. I can start using that tomorrow in class.

I was embarrassed to send my video given our elementary level and am very grateful for the detail, thought and support in your narrative and drawings.

        • Esteban Fernandezlopez says:

Ok, don’t use the food bowl then. It’s okay if you don’t have channel weaves, just use your regular 6 poles. Do not put two sets of 6 together to make a channel ebcause the distance between the poles won’t be quite right and could confuse the dog at this point.

          • Esteban Fernandezlopez says:

You can use a placed or thrown toy of any type instead of food.

So glad to see technology for agility. I wouldn’t know where to start without it. I am completely new to being a YouTube user 🙂 watched plenty but never uploaded.

  • Sarah Fernandezlopez says:

Yes. It’s part of the “technology for agility” course. But I’m going to add that as an orientation lesson shortly since I’d like everyone to complete that course as well.

We were on vacation August 5-12. We’ve been working all week to catch up on the emails that came in during that week. I see your small space is the second email in jennifer’s queue so your feedback will be coming shortly!

  • Early2ride2 says:

Not really sure how to put videos on utube without it being seen by everyone (the public). Is it possible to only be viewed by select people? Can u explain how to do this?

  • Sarah Fernandezlopez says:

    Coming later today!

  • Sarah Fernandezlopez says:

Unlisted (anyone with a link) is perfect.

  • drassdm@yahoo.com says:

so I thought that the vip email changed to team@baddogagility.com
    last year?

  • Sarah Fernandezlopez says:

Perfect! Yes – YouTube is preferred 😀
