Have you ever considered having some out takes submitted?🤪🤣.
Lol – that’s a great idea.
For 3.5 and 3.6, another dog just has to be there? You don’t have to have the other dog tugging too right? (Once stay at home orders are up I would like to do again making harder, but for now it’s just me and 2 dogs; One is almost 17, so she doesn’t tug anymore.
Yes – just nearby! I suppose we went a little overboard in the demo video! 😀
Does a 2 dog tug count for the presence of a dog or person? Or do I need Odie to stand there?
Yes, we reviewed your video, it counts! Great job, it’s a good adjustment.
Fun set of challenges!
Notice I did the work with a distraction dog inside where I could better control everyone’s energy level. Patt looked like he was asleep standing up. Good boy.
Fantastic work! I reviewed your video and my only tip isn’t really a tip, but I’ll say that for the lifetime of my dogs, I mark about 95% of the time when the toy hits my hand on a retrieve.
Thanks, Esteban!
Interesting tip — I generally figure that, when the toy hits my hand, something interesting is almost always about to happen: either a tug session or a throw. Both of those are inherently “good” and don’t need to be marked, per se. I’m more likely to mark with verbal praise at the end; on the last one when we’re ending the session.
We, both, have a system which works well for our dogs.
