This is a great start and you got a couple of perfect reps. What I want you to focus on is the picking up of the rear paw rather than the stepping over. As soon as you see the paw come off the ground, mark it, and then ask for Jake to back up. When you consistently get the forward backward movement then you can try to get more of a step. You are trying to prevent weight bearing on the leg that is stepping over. As soon as Jake puts weight on it, the other rear leg will quickly follow.
